We filled or topped off SEVEN little free libraries in Ogden today with donated books and it was so much fun. I came to tears a little bit seeing empty libraries that we were able to fill 🩷 we met the sweetest couple who thanked us profusely for adding to their little free library, and they told us that they lost their grandson and that’s why they put it in. We were all a little teary eyed and I’m grateful to be able to honor Mama in this way and give back to our neighborhoods.

Thank you so much Shawni, Sarah, Laurie, Natira, Brenda, Morgan, Maria, and so many others who helped us by collecting cans all year! We used the funds from recycling to put towards our donation for the Weber County Animal Services shelter. We also had donations from friends like Chelcy and we are so so grateful. Momma LOVED her fur babies and passed that along to us.

First (and biggest) stop this year is at the Weber Fridge and pantry. It was empty when we got here, so it really filled our hearts to be able to fill it up as much as we did.

Nothing like a little ✨disappointment✨ to turn a dreamy Valentine’s weekend into an unplanned case study on how we all deal with sadness.

Enneagram & handling disappointment (when it’s totally out of your control):
❤️ Type 1: Trying to stay rational, but secretly fuming over the waste of time.
💔 Type 2: Feeling unappreciated by the universe itself.
❤️ Type 3: Determined to make it look like this was totally fine.
💔 Type 4: Feeling personally victimized by fate.
❤️ Type 5: Emotionally detaching and analyzing what went wrong.
💔 Type 6: Running through every scenario where this could’ve been avoided.
❤️ Type 7: Already planning a way better trip to make up for it.
💔 Type 8: Needing someone to blame, even if it’s Mercury in retrograde.
❤️ Type 9: Pretending not to care but secretly very, very sad.

Me? Somewhere between a 6 & 7, overanalyzing while mentally booking a do-over. What about you?

Let’s get reel (see what I did there?!)

We’re all about to see a lot of 2024 highlight reels. Here’s mine. What you don’t see here is that on New Year’s Day this year, I woke up crying, miserable, and depressed. I was so exhausted at the prospect of making it to another year. There were many moments I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it to the end of 2024. But I’m so glad I did, because I would have missed all of these moments and memories. I’ve been reflecting on my year a lot these past couple of weeks and I didn’t realize until making this video what a beautiful year it really was.

For me, I spent my year reading 53 books, writing poems, cooking delicious meals, taking random adventures with besties, and deepening relationships with my family, friends, and myself. I learned how to be alone and enjoy my own company. I achieved a huge life goal of mine when I moved into my own apartment and created a home I love. I graduated from @enneagramuniversity and learned how to coach others using a tool I am so passionate about.

I also had heartbreak, setbacks, minor although unexpected medical issues, and many many moments of anxiety and self doubt.

My word for 2024 was wholehearted- I wanted to be devoted, determined, and enthusiastic towards life this year and I can really say that I gave it my all. ✨

As the new year approaches, I invite you to join me in celebrating the beauty of life and new beginnings. I’m leaning into growth work for my enneagram type, so I’ve chosen the word TRUST to focus on and return to in 2025.

I use the Enneagram as a tool for growth, both personally and professionally. Freedom, independence, variety, and stability are essential to me, and I work to integrate these values into YRG as we grow. The Enneagram helps me identify blind spots, weaknesses, and areas where I need support. As an 8, my needs differ from those of a 7 or a 1 entrepreneur.

My goal with YRG is to support female entrepreneurs in a way that feels natural and sustainable for them. That’s why I believe in customized solutions—every business is as unique as the woman who runs it.
